Arterial Stiffness Index Arterial stiffness is a growing epidemic associated with increased risk of cardiovascular events, dementia, and death. The Arterial Stiffness Index is a painless test that uses the same blood pressure cuffs as the test for Peripheral Artery Disease. You sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor.
