Memory

HP recommends a 64-bit Operating System to ensure a full experience with 4GB memory. DISCLAIMER: Up to 1 GB may not be available with 32-bit operating systems due to system resource requirements. DDR2 is the latest memory architecture with flexible memory bandwidth up to 8.5 GB per second. Dual Channel is only supported when the system is configured with DDR2 symmetric memory (i.e. 2x1024MB). The 4GB lets you appreciate increased system performance and greater overall speed in running your favorite applications. A 64-bit Operating System is required to take full advantage of 4GB memory. A 32-bit Operating System only recognizes up to 3GB memory.

The dv9700t features our new notebook finish: a high-gloss, black resin with an inlaid "Radiance" pattern. It has a full-sized keyboard with separate numeric keypad; you control the volume and launch buttons by tapping or swiping your finger across a strip on the keyboard.
