Seeking:11pm-7am Nursing Home or Overnight Respite Thorold Ontario K8V5N2

  I am a third year student in the Brock University nursing degree program. I am seeking employment doing part-time or full-time nights (11-7), beginning September 10th, 2009. 

I have worked doing overnight respite for Phippen House (Private Group Home For Chidren With Special Needs), Plainfield Community Homes, and the Victoria Order of Nurses of Canada. I have worked with clients with severe medical, behavioral, and emotional needs, as well as clients with Alzheimer’s disease and palliative patients.

I have worked as a PSW at Crown Ridge Place (Long-term care) for the past two years, often specifically with residents who had Alzheimer’s disease. I also actively participated in rehabilitative and restorative care. I felt very at home with the residents and felt that I worked well with all of the PSWs that I encountered as well as maintaining a positive relationship with the registered staff. I feel that I have gained considerable experience with the elderly, both medically and socially.  I have worked collaboratively with many caregivers within the health care team over the past two years and am confident that I will be a positive addition to your staff.
