Richard Langhorne holds a Bachelor degree in Social Work from the University of Manitoba and a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto. In addition to maintaining a growing private practice, Richard provides clinical field instruction for Master of Social Work students at the University of Toronto and provides regular supervision to other clinicians.

Richard is most notably known for his work with children and youth, many of which have been deemed “hard to serve”. He has also worked extensively with visible minorities and newcomers to Canada. With his own heritage based in the Caribbean, Richard has been able to adapt traditional forms of therapy in a manner that embraces the experiences of people of color and others prone to discriminatory or prejudicial practices. Over the past 12 years Richard has provided therapeutic services to children, youth and adults in such areas as corrections, child welfare and mental health.
