DB2 and Oracle DBA on a Unix platform, with OLTP and reporting experience.Will implement underlining storage and security structures, develop and execute appropriate DDL to perform monitoring, tuning and packaging.
Position Details
DB2 database on the UNIX platform (4-6 yrs).
Experience in designing, creating and fine-tuning DB2 database. Experience with object to relational mapping.
Experience in writing Unix shell scripts.
Familiarity with source control tool Clear Case.
Provide development groups with a single point of contact, to track resolve, maintain and manage the enterprise.
Assist in providing direction in evaluation and selection of appropriate hardware and software solutions for business applications.
Coordinate project software configuration identification, control and status accounting processes to ensure changes are documented and timely and accurate configuration information disseminated.
Development of scripts and replication schedules, implementation of new releases, monitor and tune the system to enhance performance, and support for end users.
Coordinate with Development / UAT / Production Support on system set-up and configuration for deployment.
Install and upgrade DB2 UDB, Oracle & SQL Server Databases, allocate system storage space and plan for database growth requirements.
Monitor performance and capacity and make pro-active recommendations for maximum database performance.
