Account Executive: Full Time A Manitoba based publishing company is searching for Advertising Sales Representative to join their team. This position will be responsible for effectively selling advertising associated with our publications (print and online). The account executive typically is responsible for a sales target on multiple projects simultaneously and must work well independently as well as effectively in a team environment. Success in this position is measured by overall sales success, including the ability to generate new sales as well as renew existing clients and the ability to achieve personal sales goals. Key Responsibilities: - Sell advertising on assigned projects (print, online or other) and responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales target on each project. Develop new sales and/or renew previous advertising contracts on assigned territory. - Make sales calls to potential or existing clients and document sales efforts. - Ensure all sales presentations are made in a professional, honest manner consistent with sales training and within company policy guidelines. - Provide advertising rate information, media kits and other relevant information to prospective clients to aid in their decision. Develop advertising sales leads by using a variety of lead sources. - Acquire in-depth knowledge of assigned industries, associations and the purpose of assigned publications. - Use the internet, company marketing and research materials and other resources to increase effectiveness of sales presentations. Ensure timelines, accuracy and quality of all advertising copy, reports and records. - handle any challenges in a timely manner working within the system and with sales administration and production. Requirements: The successful candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, used primarily in formal email communication. - Minimum of two years experience in advertising sales preferably print ad sales - Intermediate proficiency in the MS Office Suite. - Ability to adhere to and embrace company operating values including honesty, integrity, respect and teamwork. We offer a base salary with a competitive pay for performance commissions structure with an unlimited earning capacity in excess of $65,000. 65000 + 07/23/2008 |
